Brisbane Lions youngster Michael Rischitelli has been rewarded for a consistent month of football with a nomination for this year's NAB Rising Star award.
Troubled by a quadriceps strain which restricted him to just three senior appearances last year, Rischitelli has played every match for the Lions this season, averaging nearly 17 possessions a game.
The past four weeks for Rischitelli have been the 20-year-old's best at AFL level, averaging nearly 21 touches a match.
Tackling is also a key component of Rischitelli's game, the young Lion fourth for his club in tackles this season with 27.
Selected with pick 61 in the 2003 NAB AFL Draft, Rischitelli made his AFL debut in 2004 and now has 12 games under his belt.
